Leather changes. It breathes. It holds memory.

LEATHER AS A STARTING POINT

Leather is never exactly the same.

It has texture, marks, variations, and a story of its own. Over time, it develops new marks, changes with use, and takes on an appearance that becomes unique to the person who wears it.

We don’t seek to erase these characteristics. We see them as part of its nature and what makes each piece unique.

HOW WE CHOOSE OUR LEATHER

Before becoming a piece, each hide is carefully considered. We look at its firmness, elasticity, texture, and drape. We understand how it responds to cutting, construction, and the way it will be used.

We primarily work with hides sourced from the food industry, making use of a material that is already part of that supply chain and giving it a new life through design. We primarily collaborate with Mexican tanneries and suppliers and, when a project requires it, work with trusted international suppliers.

It matters to us to know where our materials come from and, whenever possible, to know the people behind them.

MAKING THE MOST OF WHAT LEATHER GIVES US

We aim to make the most of every hide, understanding its natural characteristics and making design decisions that allow the material to be used efficiently.

Marks, variations in tone, texture, or grain are not always something to be hidden. They are part of the leather and make each piece slightly different.

For us, working with leather also means learning to recognize its beauty as it is.
